Maria Bobrzecka born on 4 February 1898 in Tarnów. During World War II, she lived in Brzeszcze (Małopolskie voivodeship). She ran a pharmacy in Brzeszcze. Under the alias „Marta”, she was active in the PPS (Polish Socialist Party) group, providing assistance to soldiers of the Peasant Battalions and the Home Army. She was involved in supplying medication to the prisoners of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, including Jews, and provided dressing materials and food. Maria passed away in 1957 in Kraków. A street in Kraków has been named after Maria Bobrzecka.
