Wojsław Bielicki worked as a foreman in Skierniewice during the Second World War. He hired a Jewish man – Reiss – as an assistant despite his knowledge of his background. He also helped Reiss’s family – Lucja and her daughter – by hiding them in his mother’s house in Legionowo for eighteen months.

Wojsław Bielicki was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1990.
