Walenty and Julia Beck lived in the town of Żółkiew (Ukraine) during World War II. Aleksandra’s parents. For two years, they sheltered 18 people of Jewish origin in their flat, including Zygmunt Orlender, Neomi Orlender and Klara Schwartz.

Walenty and Julia Beck were awarded the title Righteous Among the Nations in 1983.
