Thursday, March 30, 1944. – On that day the world ended for Karol Bajak from Nisk (Podkarpackie Voivodeship). He died as a political prisoner in the Flossenbürg concentration camp, famous for its „granite success”. Karol also had his share in it – forced to slave labor in the nearby stone quarries, side by side with thousands of other Poles. He was sent to Flossenbürg for helping Jews.
