During World War II Janina Bakalarz lived in the village of Malinowszczyzna (Lublin voivodeship). The wife of Józef, mother of Helena and Alina. Janina helped Jewish children named Sima (a boy and two girls), hiding them in the barn and making sure they had something to eat.
