ANTONINA AND WALENTY REJCZAK

You are here:

To Walenty and Antonina Rejczak, the brothers Bronek and Janek Cyngiser owe their lives. In the autumn of 1942, the boys and their father escaped from the Szydłowiec ghetto. Their father was killed a short time later and the boys sought shelter in the Przysucha area. They often slept in the forests. When they reached Wilcza Wola village it was already spring 1943. There they were taken care of by Mr and Mrs Rejczak. Bronek and Janek stayed with the Rejczak family until 1947. On 6th March 1996, the Yad Vashem Institute honoured Walenty and Antonina Rejczak with the title of Righteous Among the Nations.
