Aleksander Błasiak lived in Jedlnia Letnisko (Mazowieckie voivodeship) during World War II. He was sheltering a person of Jewish origin – Józef Kons, his wife Janina (a Pole) and their two daughters.

Aleksander Błasiak was awarded the title Righteous Among the Nations in 2004.
