A CARD FROM THE CALENDAR - TADEUSZ WIATR

You are here:

– Difficult times are coming for Jews. If you need me, don’t hesitate to come to me,” Tadeusz suggested to Rozalia on his way out. He met her on the way to Rzeszów and gave her a ride on his bicycle. He later visited her in the ghetto, lifted her spirits, brought her food, and for the duration of the „action” took her and her sister Genia to his apartment. He also provided a hiding place for her two brothers, Bernard and Naftali, for many months. Of the Langsam family of four, only Genia did not survive – she perished in Auschwitz.
