A CARD FROM THE CALENDAR - STANISŁAW KLUBA

You are here:

Late in the autumn of 1942, Germans burst into the small farmstead of Stanisław Kluba in the village of Kamyk. The heart-rending shrieks of his children and his wife, Bronisława, did not stop the Green Policemen from arresting the husband and father. They mercilessly dragged him outside, but not before discovering the three Jews that Stanisław had been hiding in his house. This was the last time the family was complete and the last time the children saw their daddy. Stanisław Kluba was taken to the Kraków Montelupich prison and shot dead in January of 1943.
