A CARD FROM THE CALENDAR - ROMAN AND STEFANIA MRÓZ WITH CHILDREN
They managed for over a year – until pre-harvest 1944. It was then that the Germans stormed into the Mrózs’ house – most likely as a result of denunciations – and shot the entire family. The youngest child had not yet been born, the older one – the one whose head had been split in two – was still at breastfeeding age: Fredzia was 4, Helenka was 7, and Danusia was 8. Although the Jews in hiding managed to escape from the farm in Prząsław, they were caught the same day in Kamieniec and murdered.
