A CARD FROM THE CALENDAR - FRANCISZEK AND MARIA HRYĆKO
Blima Schif instinctively chose the Hryćko farm in her home village of Kazimierówka. On that day, 10 August 1942, the Germans executed nearly 800 women, children and elderly in the forest from the ghetto which was being liquidated nearby. She managed to escape. She timidly knocked on the door of Franciszek and Maria, neighbours from the pre-war days. – Stay with us, we will get through this hell somehow – she heard. And so it happened.
