Tadeusz Bilewicz lived in Podłęże (Małopolskie voivodeship) during World War II. He was active in „Żegota”. He sheltered in his house a Jewish woman – Mrs Morgenbesser (Helena Mirska) and her daughter. He was also involved in helping Jewish people (e.g. arranging false documents, providing food, finding shelter, leading them across the Slovakia border).

Tadeusz Bilewicz was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1979.
