Zofia Bednarska, a teacher by profession, lived in the town of Gródek Jagiellonski (now Gródek, Ukraine) during the Second World War. In her home she sheltered four Jewish people, the Gottfried family and Felicja Weinryb (née Widerhorn), from October 1942 to June 1944.

Zofia Bednarska was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1981.
