Wanda Biernacka (née Kwiatkowska) was born on 17 January 1919 in Żyrardów (Mazowieckie voivodeship). Daughter of Aleksander and Bolesława. During World War II she lived in Warsaw. She sheltered the Jonas Jewish family in her home, and was also involved in helping many other Jews (e.g. forwarding letters, making documents, finding accommodation). Wanda passed away on 27 February 1995 in Warsaw.

Wanda Biernacka was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1984.
