The Wilk family lived in Wierzbno, Małopolskie Voivodeship. On 18 February 1943, Katarzyna Wilk (52 years old), her husband Stanisław (45 years old) and son Mieczysław (20 years old) were murdered for helping people of Jewish origin. The young man was also a soldier in the Peasant Battalions. All three were shot for hiding and supplying food to Jews.
