Stanisław Benduch was born on 18 July 1923 in the village of Wyczerpy Dolne (now part of the city of Częstochowa) where he lived during World War II. Son of Władysław and Helena (née Radecka). For several months, he delivered food to people of Jewish origin working at the Pelcer Aparatenbaum factory in Częstochowa.
