Mieczysław Bagan lived in Jasło (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) during World War II. He was a teacher. Together with the Goleń family, was engaged in helping Jews. For some time, he provided shelter for a Jewish woman, Gustawa Berger, in his flat. After some time, a hiding place was arranged for Gustawa in Kraków.
