Leokadia Baczyńska was born in 1906. During World War II she lived in Warsaw. She helped Maria Solarska, a Jewish woman with whom she had been friends before the war. When Maria and her family were locked in the ghetto, she provided them with food and money. She helped Maria escape from the ghetto and hid her in her flat.

Leokadia Baczyńska was awarded the title Righteous Among the Nations in 1981.
