Janina Stupnicka (née Wójcik) was born on 28 February 1901. Mother of Anna Bando (born 23 February 1929). During World War II she lived with her daughter in Warsaw. Janina was a teacher. Together with her daughter she hid three people of Jewish origin: Krystyna Wójcik, Lukaussy Grynberg and Mikołaj Borenstein. Furthermore, she provided them with basic goods and false documents.

Janina Stupnicka and her daughter Anna Bando were awarded the title Righteous Among the Nations in 1983.
