Janina Barańska was born on 12 December 1905 in Warsaw. During World War II she lived in Rubieżewicze (Belarus). Mother of Stanislaw (born 28 August 1927 in Warsaw). She sent food and medicine to the ghetto in Rubieżewicze. She and her son Stanisław hid and looked after a Jewish girl, Dina Patlaszenko (née Postbrief) . Janina passed away on 16 December 1974.

Janina Barańska and her son Stanisław were awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1993.
