Irena Berengut
Irena Berengut (née Zielińska) born on 4 November 1925. Daughter of Piotr and Karolina. During World War II she lived in the village of Majdan Wrotkowski (now part of Lublin). From January 1943, she sheltered a man of Jewish origin, Władysław Berengut, in her flat for 18 months.
Irena Berengut was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1992.
