Gertruda Bablińska was born in 1902 in Starogard Gdański (Pomerania Province). During World War II she lived in Warsaw, where she worked as a nanny. She helped a Jewish boy, Michał Stolowicki, for whom she was the nanny. Gertruda managed to transport the child from Warsaw to Vilnius and obtain fictitious documents for him. After the war, she and Michał left for Israel. She passed away in 1995.

Gertruda Bablińska was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1963.
