Zofia Bajkowska (née Puchalska) was born in 1923. During World War II she lived in Skwarzowa near Złoczów (Ukraine). She was a seamstress. In November 1943, she took care of Chana Axelrad, who escaped from the nearby ghetto when her family was murdered. She prepared a hiding place for her in the attic. After the war, Chana left for Israel.

Zofia Bajkowska was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1981.
