Wacława Adamczyk was born on 27 September 1906 and lived with her husband Franciszek in Warsaw, on Sienna Street. In 1943, a man brought to their house a Jewish couple, Zygmunt and Lusia Sosnowski, who had been led out of the ghetto. The couple hid with them until the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, during which Lusia died. Zygmunt managed to survive the liberation and emigrated to the USA.
