The ordeal of Stanisława Górniak, who lived in Kielce during the German occupation, lasted almost six months. Schupo officers were informed that the Polish woman was hiding Jews in her house. She was arrested almost immediately, on 2 December 1942. She was put in prison in Kielce and subjected to brutal interrogations. She was executed on 27 May 1943. She was less than 27 years old at the time.
