Irena Bagińska (née Puchalska) was born in 1926. Daughter of Jan and Anna, sister of Sabina and Krystyna. During World War II she lived with her family in Łosośna (Belarus). Her parents worked as caretakers of the summer houses. With her parents and sisters, she was involved in helping the Jews who came to the vicinity of the holiday homes and asked for asylum. The Jews were hidden in a special shelter under the floor for up to 17 months.

Irena Bagińska was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations in 1987.
