During World War II, the entire Gałuszko family of Nowy Sącz sacrificed themselves to save the Jew Roman Kipel and his family.

In particular, Anna and Zofia Gałuszko, the sisters who were involved in sewing, helped. Zofia married Roman Kipel, whom the women helped. During the war he was deported to Auschwitz. He was probably killed there. Roman’s family also received help from the Gałuszko family.

Magdalena Satora, a relative of the Gałuszko family, tells about their great sacrifice.
