Eleonora Adamczyk lived with her husband Franciszek and their children: Celina, Kazimierz and Stanisława in Krężnica Okrągłała (Lubelskie Province). During World War II, a group of Jewish people from Bełżyce came to their house to ask for shelter. The agreement was that the Jews would shelter at the Adamczyk’s for the night, and during the day they would hide in the forest. In early February 1943, German military police raided the farm and discovered the fugitives. Some of the Jews were shot while fleeing into the forest. Franciszek was arrested and shot for his support.
Of the people who hid with the Adamczyk family, a Jewish girl, Stanislava Coubalova, managed to survive.
