Antoni Adamczyk lived with his family in the village of Kicznia (Małopolskie Province). From around 1943, he sheltered the Mrozowski Jewish couple, together with their approx. 5 year old son, in the barn. After the war, the Mrozowskis returned to their hometown of Łódź. As a token of their gratitude for saving his life, they sent Antoni a „Singer” sewing machine, which serves his family to this day.
