Franciszka Badecka (married name Sobkowa) lived in Drohobych (Ukraine) during World War II. She was a widow. She worked as a governess for the Jewish Bienstock family. When the family was forced into the ghetto, Franciszka provided them with food and medicine. She managed to get three members of this family out of the ghetto. She looked after them until liberation. After the war, the Bienstock family left for the United States.

Franciszka Badecka was awarded the title Righteous Among the Nations in 1998.
